head into world wide encounters

Artisan freelancer William Head has had his new film "Buiten" selected as a finalist for the "World Wide Encounters" Online Film Festival.

Part Traveller, Part Artisan, Part Film Maker....Introducing William Head’s new film “Buiten”.

William Head has thus far forged his Creative career as a Graphic Designer across the globe, working in studios throughout the UK, Europe, and more recently back on Australian shores; though of late, William has taken up study once again, trying his hand at the fine art of Film Making.

William has used his creativity to document a selection of his wanderings as a short film, which he has entered into Portable and Lonely Planet’s “World Wide Encounters” Online Film Festival...and was subsequently selected as a finalist!

Portable and Lonely Planet asked the following of it’s entrants:

“Show us around a place that means something to you – whether it be the place of your birth, or where to get the best greasy late night hamburger in town; somewhere far away and exotic, or something down home and personal. There’s a story everywhere you go, and Worldwide Encounters heard yours, from all over the world – from Mt Everest to Bendigo, Tibet to the Outback, the sharks of Bora Bora to the streets of Japan...”

Head’s film “Buiten”, captures “The Mystique of Amsterdam; the expectations of Travel, and getting to know the locals.” (www.portablefilmfestival.com).

On viewing “Buiten”, one bears witness to a brilliant amalgamation of contemporary film making technique and production, including the digital manipulation of shots, artistic editing of cuts and a thoughtfully articulated motif.
