What would Christmas be without the now annual Artisan CD? Well, a lot quieter for a start. We have to say, we're mighty proud of this year's compilation and think it is our best one yet, although I'm sure you're probably expecting us to naturally proclaim that. But you know what, this is actually one hell of a funky little CD. We've returned back to a bit of a 'Sunday sessions' vibe with this CD, putting together a compilation that infuses some house and laid back grooves to produce a CD that is perfect for the summer sun, getting together with friends and having some background music that is bound to get you wiggling. We've even had reports coming back to us of clients 'chair dancing' to Ladi6's 'So Far'... smart move. As usual, Artisan insist on promoting a combination of local talent along with the occasional 'up and coming' name too. Mr Jigga has been one of the few acts to have made repeated appearances on Artisan CD's over the years but it's because of the fact that they're just so good. Internationally recognised dance producer Miguel Migs features on this year's CD too. Then we have some quirky moments too, like the very cool 'Susie May' by the unusually namad Verious Artists. In short, this is the must have compilation of the summer so make sure you check it out.
