This funky design studio is based in Sydeny's CBS specialising in packaging design.

This is an exciting opportunity for an eager person to manage reception, front of house and office functions, as well as provide
support to the client and project management department. This is an opportunity to get a start in the creative communications industry for a relatively inexperienced or new graduate, with the potential for career growth.

An interest in graphic design and/or communications is required with a tertiary qualification preferred, as is a desire to grow into a senior administrative role, developing personal skills in account, project, print, production and resources management.

To be successful in your application, or be ready to acquire, good communication and organisational skills, an eye for detail, stability under pressure and dextrous multi-tasking in a fast-paced design studio.

Your day in the studio:

• Reception including visitors, telephone, data entry, office and studio stocks, petty cash and other staff amenities management.

• In-house premises, personnel, systems and resources management.

• Assistance in company and project accounting management.

• In-house and supplied resources management.

• Occasional project and studio assistance.

• Assistance in the preparation of company advertising and publicity materials.

• Duties in personal assistance of the directors of the studio.

Extended tasks can include:

• Assistance in the management of FMCG packaging projects of varying sizes across different clients.

• Assistance to the studio manager and project managers to determine the scope of works and management of projects effectively across the design, retouching and finished art departments.

• Assistance in the delegation of projects, utilising the studio resources effectively.

• Client liaison assistance – organising meetings, presentations and briefings. Managing client expectations effectively. Sensitive to the balancing of client expectations against the capacity of the studio to deliver.

• Assistance in managing, sourcing and contracting of photography, illustration and other external creative services
related to their projects.

• Liaison with our bookkeeper in efficient preparation of invoices and monitoring of payments from clients.

• Assistance in the preparation of budgets, internal and external reporting, and monitoring the profitability of projects.

This role would be the perfect step into the industry for a graduate who wants to pursue their career in the Account Service world.
