In 2018 Artisan Recruitment will celebrate 20 years working with Australia's brightest and most talented creatives. As an avid supporter of the industry, Artisan has long standing relationships with leading industry bodies, as well as having meet over 30,000 creative individuals in supporting their careers.

We’ve recently moved into a much larger space, it’s way too big for just us, so we’re opening our very own creative hub - The Manufactory. We want to surround ourselves with like minded entrepreneurs and businesses, small to large to further extend Artisans already significant creative community.

We are currently looking for a Community Manager to build this new part of our business. The role encompasses establishing Artisan’s Manufactory as the new fun flexible working space for all types of businesses. The incumbent space incorporates, co-working desks, retail cafe/bar, meeting and training rooms.

The space

- Training Room
- 2 kitted out board rooms
- 4 meeting rooms
- approx. 50 co-working desks
- Kitchens
- Retail Cafe/Bar

This is a startup role, in a startup business. So we’re looking for a talented, inspired and driven individual to help design, create and build a unique business.

Community Manager

The ideal person will probably have a degree in marketing, definitely worked in hospitality and sales, with a passion for creativity. The role crosses, sales, face to face and over the phone, while prospecting and building sales pipelines. You will have ability to build rapport with people quickly and have a problem solving mind.

You’ll love the idea of building the business & team from the ground up, working on process, meeting targets whilst developing beautiful spaces and creating community. Your attitude is “nothings too much trouble”, and you will have impeccable follow through for exceptional customer service.

This is a people job, so your ability to communicate with people at all levels and help them solve problems will be highly regarded. As no two days will be the same, you'll put our project management skills to the test, show your ability to plan, adapt and multitask.

This role is self starting, and reports directly to the Operations Manager & Managing Director. The job involves:

- Work with the Operation Manager & MD to build a plan
- Develop business goals - short & long term
- Build product offerings
- Successfully execute the plan within agreed time frames

- Create sales pipeline
- Prospect for new community members
- Supervise site inspections & close sales
- Background/Reference check new members
- Set up contracts & execute
- Meet revenue and occupancy targets

- Build community calendar of events
- Event marketing & Ticket sales
- Develop social media presence
- Manage social & web presence

Day to Day
- Represent the brand
- On-board new members
- Maintain existing members, enhance occupancy
- Achieve occupancy rates, deliver on membership goals
- Create a collaborative environment
- Develop process & procedure to manage the building.
- Member support as onsite resource
- Problem solve
- Manage bookings, rooms and requirements
