She's been with us for a few years now however it has only been recently that our lovely Ally has started to make way into the world of apparel. With that in mind, it's time to do an In Profile on Ally.

When did you join the Artisan family?
October 2007

Describe your role and what a typical day would entail?
Get up at 4.45 for a row before work…such a great way to start the day with a positive attitude! Usually arrive into work before 8.30 with a coffee in hand. Start my day by going through my emails and following up anything outstanding. The day then progresses into client calls, hour of power, interviews, ref checks and many other duties to entertain myself with throughout the day….

How would you describe the culture at Artisan?
Fast moving, Energetic, Strong willed and extremely hard working…..

What do you enjoy most about working at Artisan?
Being greeted by the adorable little Arti (office puppy). Being able to come to work in a relaxed capacity, wear what you like and be accepted as individuals that we are. Bright office space!- nice open windows with lots of natural light.

What is one skill that you’ve developed since working at Artisan?
Continually learning more and more about design.

What were you doing prior to Artisan?
Living OS for 4 years- two and a half years in London and a year and a half in the French Alpes. Once returning to Australia, I was a personal trainer.

Tell us about your best and worst employment experience...
Best- I was once given a very expensive leather bag from a customer who was thanking me for doing my job...
Worst- Interviewing a very attractive candidate with the entire office paying me out for being the most embarrassed person you have EVER seen...

What makes a great work environment?
Great banter, happy and cheerful colleagues, a comfortable work environment and a nice balance between work and play...

What is the most common mistake you find businesses making when looking for new staff?
Businesses are always looking for the best candidates at the lowest prices...
Candidates who can work on both print and web...

What makes a standout CV?
Something that displays originality, uniqueness to your personality and a clear and well laid out CV.

Confidence in yourself and in your work- Passion!

Travelling
Living and working OS
My circle of friends & family- they rock!

What do you find yourself doing in your spare time?
Socialising a lot with friends & family.

Love to go away on the weekends!
